Training Program for Police Officers
The training program for police officers was initiated as part of the project “Improving Marine Mammal Conservation and Compliance with Environmental Laws on the Peruvian Coast”. This project is implemented by Mundo Azul and its US-based partner organization, the Humane Society International. It counts with financial support from the US State Department within the frame work of the Free Trade Negotiations between Peru and the US.
Capture of illegal dolphin meat venders
In 2006 Mundo Azul reinitiated it’s under-cover investigation of the illegal trade in dolphin meat for human consumption in Peru within the framework of the project: “Improving Marine Mammal Conservation and Compliance with Environmental Laws on the Peruvian Coast”.
