Coordinator In charge of Marine Affairs Conservation International Peru

Nina Pardo is the founder and was the first president of the Association Mundo Azul. She started her career in environmental conservation in the year 1994 as a campaign Director for the Peruvian NGO “Cruzada por la Vida”, working against dolphin captivity and against the illegal killing of dolphins for human consumption in Peru. Her work resulted in 1996 in a Peruvian law prohibiting the killing of dolphins for human consumption. In 1999 she founded the Peruvian NGO Mundo Azul and was her first President.

Mrs. Pardo participated in several diving exploration Expeditions for example in Lake Titicaca, in the National Park Yanachaga-Chemillen and in the Lagoon of the Condors. In the Peruvian cloud forest.  

She worked in the Department for Incoming Tourism in PromPeru, and as a Coordinator in the Institute Machu Pichu. Since 2001 she works as Communications Officer for the Peruvian branch of Conservation International and recently she started overseeing the development of the NGOs national marine conservation program.

Nina Pardo has a Masters Degree in Business and Administration from the American University in Washington DC.
