On day four you will continue your road trip to the small town of Atalaya. There you will board a boat and continue by river in order to arrive in the late afternoon at the Blanquillo rainforest lodge, being your base camp for the research programs during the next eleven days (day five to fifteen).
On day sixteen you are traveling downstream (approximately 7 hours) in order to reach the rainforest city of Puerto Maldonado, where you will stay over night. On day seventeen you will take a flight to Lima via Cusco (if you wish to interrupt your return to Lima in order to stay a few days in Cusco, this is possible – Your stay in Cusco is however not included in this travel package, but can be organized by us, if you wish so). Arriving in Lima we will pick you up from the airport for the final briefing in our office.
